_____

Reynolds County, MO
Total Compensation to Date: $190,000.00+
Ongoing Compensation: $453.86 weekly check to injured employee

The client worked for a mining company where she was a laborer, driver and scaler. As a scaler she used a high lift, as high as 70 feet in the air to reach tunnel ceilings to remove loose rock with an eight pound, six foot long scaling bar to keep it from falling.  The client was performing these duties when she was struck by a falling rock, trapping her for some time. She had injuries to her ribs, teeth and right ankle. Screws were placed in several locations in her ankle and she received a full upper denture as well as a lower removable lower denture. Later it was discovered that she had developed avascular necrosis in the ankle and the hardware had to be removed. A fusion was done to help support the ankle. As a result of this ankle fusion, the client walked differently which cased pain in her back from multiple bulging discs and a herniated disc at L2-3. Despite all of this she still insisted that she was going to go back to work. She continued to work but developed extreme burning in her left arm and hand.  A nerve conduction study was performed and it showed bi-lateral carpal tunnel syndrome. Surgery was performed but the pain remained. As a result we were able to recover for her lifetime workers compensation benefits of weekly checks in the amount of $453.86 as well as a lump sum payment of over $90,000.00. Her weekly checks have already brought in nearly $100,000.00!
